Libin Babu
Libin Babu is a mechanical engineer with over a decade of experience in the field. He was born and raised in Kerala, India, a state known for its captivating natural beauty. Libin's early years in this picturesque backdrop fostered a deep appreciation for nature's wonders.
Libin obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calicut, Kerala, India in 2013. He furthered his education by earning a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA in 2017.
Throughout his career, Libin has specialized in ASME pressure vessels and heat exchangers. He has extensive expertise in mechanical engineering design, analysis, quality control, non-destructive examinations, and welding inspection.
Libin began his career in Rayong, Thailand, working on projects in Asia's largest industrial estate, Map Ta phut. He then moved to the United States, where he worked in Ohio, New York, and Tennessee. Libin's knowledge encompasses various ASME Codes and Standards, including ASME Section VIII, Section IX, Sec II, Sec V, ASME B31.3, PED, AWS Standards, TEMA 9th Ed, API 660, 661, 663 (Heat exchangers). He is also proficient in ANSYS FEA and CFD.
Libin's dedication to his profession is evident through his active involvement in ASME Joint reviews, resulting in successful ASME certifications for the companies he has collaborated with. In addition to his professional achievements, Libin has published a research paper titled "GETSLOCK- Advanced Front Closure Design for Multi-Tube Hairpin Heat-Exchanger" in the esteemed Advanced Mechanics and Materials journal based in Switzerland. He also holds a US patent application in the field of Digitalization of Code Books, filed in 2022.
Libin holds professional engineering licenses in New York, California, and Tennessee. He is also a Certified Welding Inspector (American Welding Society), a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (American Society for Quality), a Level II Liquid Penetrant Examination Inspector (ASNT), and a Positive Material Identification (PMI) inspector.
Apart from his engineering expertise, Libin also has a passion for teaching painting and yoga. He finds joy in sharing his knowledge and skills with others, whether it's through mentoring aspiring engineers, conducting painting workshops, or leading yoga classes.
Libin resides in Farragut, Tennessee, together with his wife, Jessica Ramos, who is a dedicated registered nurse.
